Schedule

08.30 – Registration at Dome No.2, West Wood Club, Leopardstown, Dublin

08.45 – Briefing by Tournament Directors.

08.50 – First match warm ups.

09.00 – First matches.

No later than 15.00 - Semi-Finals.

No later than 16.00 – Finals.

Prize Giving and Dinner

20.00 – Dinner and Prize Giving at The Trinity Capital Hotel, Pearse St, Dublin 2.

All players, partners and friends are very welcome.

Dinner fee: EUR30.00 - Players can pay online when registering. Others can pay on the day.

DIVISION A WINNER - The OUT4TENNIS Christmas  Trophy will be presented to the Winner.

DIVISION B, C and D Winners – Engraved Dublin Crystal plaques.

RUNNERS-UP – Engraved OUT4TENNIS Medals.

Following the presentation of the formal prizes, further awards will be presented to players who demonstrated other 'skills' on and off court during the day. An eclectic range of prizes will be presented to the lucky winners.

Tournament Notes

While all matches will be indoors in Dome No.2 at West Wood, it can be chilly in the Dome so…….wear a few layers and thick socks!

Cafes

The West Wood Cafe in the main club building will be open for coffee and snacks from 8.00.

Lunch options include the West Wood Cafe or Fillies Cafe Bar in the adjoining Leopardstown Racecourse. Fillies opens from 12 noon.

Changing Facilities:

Non- West Wood Club members may use the men’s changing facilities alongside Dome. No.1. Only West Wood members may use the changing facilities in the main club building.

Water:

Please bring your own water bottle which can be filled in the rest rooms adjacent to the Dome.

Photography/Filming:

Photographs and Filming may take place at the tournament. If you would prefer for your image not to be used on the OUT4TENNIS website or for other promotional material, please advise us either by e-mail or on the morning.

Entry Fees:

EUR45.00 payable online when registering. 

Format

The format of the tournament is round robin with each player guaranteed a minimum of three matches.

EVENTS

Social Division - For beginners and those who prefer a more relaxed match;

Division C - Typically Class 6/7

Division B - Typically Class 4/5

Division A - Typically Class 3 and above.

ALL DIVISIONS

Two round robins in each division; 1st and 2nd from each round robin goes through to a Semi-Final and, then, the Final.

DOUBLES

Subject to time and court availability, consolation doubles will be offered to players who do not qualify out of their round robins.

ROUND ROBIN MATCHES

Each match is one set.

WARM-UPS

Please limit warm-ups to 5 minutes to ensure timely running of the tournament.

The draw will be posted here on Wednesday 2nd December.

Directions

VENUE - The tournament takes place at West Wood Club, Leopardstown Race Course, Dublin 18.

BY CAR

To plan your route, visit The AA Insert Leopardstown Racecourse as your destination. Parking is freely available on Saturday mornings in the Lower Car Park.

BY LUAS (TRAM)

The nearest station is SANDYFORD on the GREEN line.

From the station, its a 25 minute walk. On exiting the tram, turn left walking along Blackthorn Avenue.

At the next junction, turn left onto Burton Hall Road.

At the next roundabout, walk onto Leopardstown Road.

Turn right into Leopardstown Race Course.

From here its about a 10 minute walk past the racecourse and stands to West Wood.

Visit LUAS for times.

BY BUS

Leopardstown Park Road is served by various bus routes though, again, you should allow for a 20 minutes walk from the nearest bus stops to West Wood.

CAR SHARING OR NEED A LIFT?

If you would like to car share or need a lift from the city centre, text us on 087-765-1366 and we'll do our best to put you in touch with others players who plan to drive to West Wood.

Registration for the tournament is simple.

We use Tournament Software which is also used by Tennis Ireland and the GLTA.

Players with profiles on Tournament Software can sign up here now.

The Entry Fee is EUR45.00.

If this is your first time to use Tournament Software to register for a tournament, just follow the following steps:

1. Click on the link to Tournament Software below.

2. Click on the ONLINE ENTRY tab.

3. Create your profile on Tournament Software.

4. Log back in once you have created your profile.

5. Select which event (division) you wish to play. If you are not a club member, please type NONE when registering.

6. Click on Continue which will take you to Paypal to enable you to complete your credit card payment payment online.

PAYMENT DIRECT TO BANK ACCOUNT:

Payment online using your Credit Card is preferred and ensures your entry into your preferred division.

You may also pay direct to the OUT4TENNIS Bank Account though your entry will only be confirmed once payment is received.

1. If paying by Electronic Banking, please quote your name in the narrative so that we can reconcile your payment with your registration.

2. If paying 'over the counter', you'll need to use Bank of Ireland and request them to quote your name in the narrative.
