OUTROWERS is a network of rowers from around Ireland that meets for occasional trips in Dublin, Cork and else where around Ireland.
Our members are drawn from current competing rowers, ‘masters’ rowers, coaches and an increasing number deal of recreational rowers. Some OUTROWERS continue as members of their own rowing clubs while others join us for our rows.
Currently, our members are based in Dublin, Galway, Cork, and Limerick. We also have Irish rowers in the UK and Europe who are members of the network.
All our members have previous rowing experience, either at school, university or club level. In the future, we will look at running Learn to Row programmes to introduce people to the sport and to enable them to participate in our recreational rows.
Currently, most of our trips are in Dublin and Cork. In addition, recreational ‘currach’ rowing is available in Cork.
